You two made our "once in a lifetime" trip simply wonderful! You are both extremely talented WITH YOUR HANDS. All of us, The Fab Five, were so impressed and thankful for your touch. You will forever be in our memories as with everything else in St Croix. Keep in Touch and good luck in your paradise. March 02, 2009 - 17:00
Hi, Just found your website today. Will bookmark and explore further information here. Thanks. February 28, 2009 - 19:32
I am an LMT and have been thinking of moving to the Islands. Is there many openings for massage therapists? Or should I plan on starting my own service? What are your licensure requirements? Last but not least, I enjoyed your site. If you would like to link to my site just email me your information. Thanks, January 08, 2009 - 15:04
Hi Dan. Welcome. We operate our own small business, just the two of us. We do not have plans to expand at this time. I'm not aware, specifically, of openings with other established practices, but there are now spas open at a few of our resorts here in St. Croix, and a few more planned. There are likely some openings here. On St. Thomas, there are several resorts with spas, so there is some regular turn-over. I worked in St. Thomas for 3 years before moving here. I prefer St. Croix, but there is probably more opportunities available to get started over there. The Virgin Islands has recently modified their requirements for massage therapists, but I believe from your profile that you would qualify. You are required to have completed 500 or more hours of training at an appropriate massage school, be certified with NCMBTMB, have 3 or more hours of AIDS/HIV awareness training, be current on your tax filing, and get a local health card. We had a nice time and I'm sure your massages helped me just finish the race (St. Croix Ironman 70.3)... We'll keep your number if we (or friends) come down next year. May 21, 2007 - 12:41
Calling Terry with Ambrosia Body Care, and setting my massage appointment has become as important as making the other island reservations. Terry is always prompt which is refreshing for mainlanders who have not quiet gone to island time. Terry will suggest great place for a massage. Take her suggestions; she knows what she is doing. For years I fought the idea of a massage on the beach. What was I thinking? She found a shady coconut grove on the beach, set up her table, and I melted into relaxation hearing the palms leaves blow and the waves splashing. Book Terry early in your stay because you will covert over to a relaxed state of island time when she is finished. That is what a vacation is all about. May 16, 2007 - 10:44
We were lucky enough to stumble upon Michael and Terry during a recent family visit to St. Croix. Professional, responsive, flexible, and most definitely capable, we were most impressed, and delighted to be able to be treated right at home! My facial, very massage oriented, was one of the best I have experienced, and the deep tissue massage perfect. I can say that they cater to all needs and categories, as they did 8 different facial and massage treatments on several members of our family, ranging from 13 years old to 78! Bravo and keep it up! You can be sure you will see us again! April 18, 2007 - 14:34
