Originally from RI, Terry Chretien fell in love with St. Croix the moment she set foot on the island (it was 7 degrees farenheit when she flew out of New England on that fateful morning over 20 years ago). She has lived and worked here since 1994. Her education and flexibility have allowed her to explore many employment opportunities on island. She started out working for a construction company until a job teaching High School Biology and Physical Science presented itself. Later, she worked on one of the tour boats that travel to Buck Island National Monument. She has worked in a boutique and managed a bookstore. She’s tended bar and waited tables, delivered magazines and has done data entry for a realtor and a hotel. Many of these positions were simultaneous as she was raising her daughter and running her personal chef service and massage therapy company. Terry studied massage at the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, CA and the Myotherapy Institute in Salt Lake City, UT. She has rescued many stray Cruzan dogs and cats and continues to care for 11 canine and 4 feline companions along with her husband and love of her life, Michael.
Michael Dance is a hospitality veteran, working and managing in restaurants and hotels, massage schools and spas, from Utah to Moscow, Russia. � He studied massage at Awakening Spirit Massage School in Salt Lake City, Utah and has continued through seminars and correspondence courses. A therapist in the Virgin Islands since 1998, Michael came to St. Croix in 2001 to manage The Buccaneer Hideaway Spa. In 2005 he merged his outcall spa service, Ahhh… Spa to Go, St. Croix, with Ambrosia Body Care.
